Floyd County Medical Center Names New Chief Operating Officer

There’s a change in the leadership team at Floyd County Medical Center (FCMC).
Jon Perin, MHA, who has served as the chief ambulatory officer (CAO) since July 2024, will now serve as the Charles City hospital’s chief operating officer (COO). In his new role, Perin will assume operational oversight of specialty care services, market development, laboratory, radiology, therapy services, nutritional services, and the rural health clinic.
Perin will also serve as the designated backup to Dawnett Willis, the chief executive officer, and is expected to play a key role in strategic planning, organizational governance, and system-wide operational initiatives.
Willis said, “This promotion is a reflection not only of Jon’s experience and skill, but of his commitment to FCMC’s mission, vision, and values. His dedication to our patients, his support of our teams, and his willingness to take on complex challenges with a positive, solution-oriented mindset have been invaluable. I am deeply appreciative of the hard work he has already contributed, and I am confident he will continue to strengthen our operations and culture in this expanded role.”
Perin said, “I’m grateful for the trust placed in me to continue serving Floyd County Medical Center and our community. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated teams to strengthen operations, expand access to care, and support the mission of exceptional, personalized care.”
Perin, an Iowa native originally from Webster City, holds a B.S. in Health Sciences and a Master’s of Hospital Administration from the University of Central Florida.
Before returning home to the Midwest, he spent the initial years of his healthcare career in Florida and Colorado.
Before coming to FCMC in 2023, Perin served as the chief clinic officer at Waverly Health Center.
