Human Trafficking Focus of Presentation Thursday (12.11) Night in Charles City

Human trafficking in Iowa is the focus of a Q & A session Thursday (12.11) night at the Charles City Community Center.

Stacy Besch with Team Iowa will lead the presentation aimed at educating the public of the dangers of human trafficking in the state.

Besch says predators are targeting victims in new ways, including through cell phones.

Besch says you can do your part to help combat this dangerous problem.

The program at the Community Center in Charles City begins at 6:30 pm and was originally to include a showing of “Gridshock,” a documentary on human trafficking in Iowa, but the producer has changed copyright restrictions preventing free showings of the film. Still, Besch says she’ll reference information contained in the doc.
