Friday (12.05) Will Be a “Night of Light” in Charles City

The “Holiday Happening” Friday (12.05) night in downtown Charles City will be, so to speak, a “night of light.”
Mark Wicks with Main Street Charles City says festivities begin with the return of the Holiday Lighted Parade.
Then it’s time to light up Central Park and the sky above.
Downtown businesses are also encouraged to “keep their lights” on a little longer Friday evening to take advantage of the crowds while also giving people an opportunity to step inside to warm up.
For “warm thoughts,” Memory Lane is also back for the holiday season.
Activities Friday night also include the Soup Supper from 5 to 7:30 pm at the Columbus Club, a fundraiser for the Foster Grandparents program. The Charles City Arts Center also hosts an open house from 4:30 to 7:30 pm.
Because of last weekend’s winter storm, Charles City is also doing a “re-do” for Small Business Saturday this Saturday (12.06).
