Charles City Welcomes New City Administrator, Police Officer

The City of Charles City welcomed two new employees during Monday night’s City Council meeting.

While he’s been working with the police department for three weeks, Monday was the first day in uniform for officer Dylan Usher.

Usher was then officially sworn in as a member of the CCPD.

Monday was also the first day for new City Administrator Tyler Trout.

Trout was the City Administrator in Avoca, Iowa, before being hired to replace Steve Diers, who left Charles City in June after 11-plus years to become city administrator in Clear Lake.
