Teen with North Iowa Ties Reported Missing, Last Seen Oct. 5

Authorities and family members are again seeking the public’s help in locating a teen with north Iowa connections.
The family of 14-year-old Alexis Kostka says she has again gone missing. As of 3 pm Monday (10.13), she has been missing for eight days.
In a Facebook post, Kaitlynn Johnston says “Alexis was placed in a mental/behavioral health facility in Cedar Rapids, but managed to escape. She does not have her medication, which is a major safety concern.”
They also caution that “Alexis is willingly getting into cars with strangers and making very unsafe choices. She could be anywhere at this point. Anyone who knows anything, PLEASE do the right thing. Have her call me so I know she’s alive. We are worried for her safety.”
The family asks that everyone needs to be on the look out for Alexis; especially the towns of Charles City, Cedar Rapids, and Des Moines. If you see something, say something.
Kaitlynn Johnston has been updating the situation daily. Please, keep checking and keep sharing.
The teen was also reported missing late last month. At that time, Alexis was last seen in Cedar Rapids and located a short time later about an hour away from Cedar Rapids.
Alexis is 5-feet 3-inches tall, about 190 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen October 5th
