Operation Golden Hawk Hosts “Veteran Stand Down” Saturday (09.27) in Mason City

Operation Golden Hawk hosts its fourth annual “North Iowa Southern Minnesota Veteran Stand Down” Saturday (09.27) in Mason City.
Vice President Greg Benedict says the Stand Down, a free event, is about getting veterans the help they need.
Benedict says as many as one in five veterans are on the brink of housing insecurity.
Pre-registration is preferred, but veterans and their families can just show up Saturday when doors open at 8 am at the North Iowa Events Center.

Operation Goldenhawk serves veterans in Butler, Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Franklin, Hancock, Mitchell, Winnebago, Worth and Wright counties in north Iowa, as well as Faribault, Freeborn and Mower counties in southern Minnesota.
