Wing Fest Saturday (09.20) in Saint Lucas

It’s the second annual Wing Fest this Saturday (09.20) in Saint Lucas.
That’s Bud Winter with the St. Lucas Community Action Club, who says 27 different flavors of wings will be prepared by nine local cooks and chefs. A $10 punch card allows you to sample eight different wings, with proceeds going to continued community improvement projects.
Wing Fest officially opens at 3 pm Saturday, but festivities begin at noon with the adult volleyball tournament, plus Touch-A-Truck and bouncy houses for the kids, along with the beer tent and concessions, offering hot dogs, brats, ribeye sandwiches and flat bread.
A helicopter landing is scheduled for 2 pm and the bags tournament starts at 5 pm.
All activity will be at the ball diamonds on the church grounds in St. Lucas. Rain location is the Georend Transmission Gym next to the German-American Museum.
