Abate Ride & Shine for Fallen Riders Saturday (09.06) in North Iowa

It’s the first-ever Ride & Shine for Fallen Riders this Saturday (09.06) in north Iowa.
The “Throttle Up for Those Who Can’t” event is coordinated in conjunction with Cedar River Harley-Davidson of Charles City and District 17 of Abate of Iowa, which member John McKimmy says lobbies for motorcycle legislation and provides motorcycle riders with education courses.
Saturday’s ride will begin with kick stands up at 10:30 am at Casey’s in Lime Springs and make its way to Cedar River for a Show & Shine bike show from 1 to 3 pm. McKimmy says the event is a fundraiser to help riders going through hardship.
The genesis of the event came from McKimmy’s own unfortunate experience.
McKimmy says cars, trucks and anyone else who wants to make the ride Saturday are welcome. There will also be food trucks on site at the motorcycle dealership.
