New Hampton Officials Look to Address Scooter Safety Issues

It’s also led to a growing concern for the safety of kids, pedestrians, and traffic.

New Hampton Mayor Steve Geerts says he’s witnessed electric scooters being misused first-hand.
Geerts says they’ve addressed similar safety issues in the past.
Geerts says City officials are weighing ways to address electric scooter safety, including a possible minimum age requirement and a safety education class. Though nothing definitive has been decided.
