Northeast Iowa Man Dies After Farm Equipment Rolls Over

Authorities have identified the person killed in an accident involving farm equipment in northeast Iowa.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle rollover involving farm equipment, shortly before 4 pm Friday (08.08). The accident occurred in the 11000 block of South Canfield Road, about 15 miles southeast of Waterloo. 

Upon arrival, deputies found a telehandler partly on its side in the ditch. It was determined that Allen Craft of La Porte City was trying to leave his field when he drove the vehicle over the edge of the ditch, throwing Craft and pinning him underneath.

Kraft was pronounced dead at the scene.
