The Northeast Iowa Food Bank (NEIFB) is following up a Feedback Forum in New Hampton last week with another session this week in Waverly.
Residents of New Hampton and Chickasaw County gathered at the Chickasaw County ISU Extension office last Thursday to share their voice on helping address food insecurity. Food Bank Executive Director Barb Prather invites residents of Bremer County to register for Tuesday’s (07.22) Feedback Forum from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm at the Veterans Post in Waverly.

If you’re facing food insecurity, Prather says it’s okay to ask for help.
Prather says one of the ways NEIFB is helping close the food insecurity gap during the summer is the Healthy Kids Iowa Pilot program, which provides each child between 4- and 18-year-olds who qualify $40 in free food for each month of June, July and August.
