New Hampton 2025 Summer Food Service Program Free Meals Distribution Nearing End

New Hampton’s distribution of free meals through the 2025 Summer Food Service Program is down to its final days.

Food Service Coordinator Jodi Cerwinske is reminding families that the Free Grab & Go Meals, available on Thursdays only, will be coming to an end on July 24th, leaving just two Thursdays (07.17 & 07.24) remaining.

Thursday pick-up sites include New Hampton High School from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm at the Activities Entrance, Immaculate Conception Church in North Washington from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm, and the Alta Vista City Parking Lot from noon to 12:30 pm.

The program is open to all children ages 1-18, regardless of if they live in these towns or attend New Hampton Schools.

Cerwinske also advises that, if it is not the parent or the grandparent picking up the food, then ALL children must be with the person conducting the pick up. If not, they will only be able to get meals for those children presently in the vehicle.

Since June 12th, the program has provided each child signed up with a weekly supply of five breakfasts, five lunches, and one gallon of milk. However, on the final day, July 24th, a six-day meal pack will be handed out.

Entering this week, Cerwinske says they have served 12,460 Grab & Go breakfasts and 12,460 Grab & Go lunches!  With the final two weeks left, she estimates they will serve another 4800 breakfasts and 4800 lunches.
