MiEnergy Cooperative Issues Peak Energy Alert for Tuesday (07.15)

MiEnergy Cooperative has issued a Peak Alert due to the high demand for electricity on the regional grid.

MiEnergy  is calling for electricity conservation from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday (07.15). Elevated peak demand leads to higher power costs. Members can help keep electricity rates stable and affordable by shifting electricity use to 6 p.m. or later Tuesday.

MiEnergy Cooperative maintains some 5,500 miles of power lines covering most of Fillmore, Houston and Winona counties in Minnesota and Chickasaw, Howard and Winneshiek counties in Iowa. The cooperative also serves small pockets bordering those counties. It provides electricity to more than 19,000 members in northeastern Iowa and southeastern Minnesota. MiEnergy is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative.
