Bay Valley Foods to Close in New Hampton, Putting Almost 50 People Out of Work

Nearly 50 people will lose their jobs when a New Hampton manufacturing plant closes in two months.

According to a listing on WARN, through Iowa Workforce Development, TreeHouse Foods, Incorporated will close Bay Valley Foods on September 12th, with the shut down set to affect 48 employees.

The company has not provided specific reasons for the closure.

The Bay Valley Foods Facebook page says the New Hampton facility produces non-dairy coffee creamer.

In other layoff notifications on WARN, Collins Aerospace will lay off 29 workers at its Decorah facility, effective July 18th.
