It’s an old-fashioned street fair theme to the next Party in the Park (PIP) in Charles City.
Hosted by Main Street Charles City, the latest PIP, from 5-to-9 pm this Friday (06.13) in Central Park, will feature a variety of fun street carnival games and activities for families, with chances to win candy prizes.
As usual, Party in the Park activities will also include free live music, food vendors, a beer garden, sponsor and activity booths, pedal cars and free lawn games.
Musical entertainment provided by the Rhythmic Rewind Band out of the Des Moines area, playing remixed rock ‘n soul classics to listen to, dance and enjoy. The group’s website states, “They cut their musical teeth on The Motown Sound, The British Invasion, The Sound of Philadelphia and The California Sound, and were there to usher in Yacht Rock.”
Food, beverages, and game plays will be available for purchase with special Party in the Park tokens, which can be obtained at the Token Tent near the middle of the park, as well as from Token Browsers in red aprons walking around the crowd. Tokens are good at all Party in the Park events this summer.
Other PIP events are also planned for June 27th and August 1st.
Admission is always free and open to all.
