“Healthy Kids” Food Program Approved for Floyd, Howard Counties

The Northeast Iowa Food Bank (NEIFB) has announced that Floyd and Howard counties have been approved to participate in the Healthy Kids Iowa Pilot Program.

NEIFB says the program expands access to nutritious food this summer for families with kids ages 4-to-18 and begins this week in both counties.

If you qualify through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), you can receive extra fruits, vegetables, dairy, grains, and proteins in June, July, and August for each child in the family.

In Howard County, distributions will happen through the Cresco Mobile Pantry, with the first one on:

Tuesday, June 3

Howard County Fairgrounds

4:30–5:30 PM

In Floyd County, distributions will take place through the Charles City Mobile Pantry, with the first one on:

Wednesday, June 4
