‘Touch-A-Truck,’ Deja Blue Band Headline May 30th Party in the Park in Charles City

A summer tradition returns this week to downtown Charles City.

Organized by Main Street Charles City, “Party in the Park” (PIP) returns for its 22nd season in Central Park from 5 to 9 pm Friday (05.30) night. Chamber Executive Director Mark Wicks says they’ll kickoff the first of four PIPs with a new feature.

Wicks is also hoping for great weather, which proved elusive at times last summer.

Live music entertainment Friday night is provided by the Deja Blue Band, made up of seven seasoned musicians from Iowa’s Cedar Valley, playing the best of Blues rock and jazz.

Admission is free to enjoy the music and community socializing.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase with special Party in the Park tokens, which can be bought on site and are good at all PIP events this summer.

There are also kids games and a beer garden for every “Party in the Park,” with additional PIPs slated for June 13th, June 27th, and August 1st
