Graduation Sunday (05.18) for High School Seniors, Awards Night Tuesday (05.13) at New Hampton

It’s graduation Sunday (05.18) this weekend for most area high schools, including New Hampton.

Principal Matt Manson says they’ve tried to help their seniors prepare for life after graduation with a special workshop last month called “Adulting 101.”

Manson says graduation week at New Hampton ramps up with Awards Night at 7 pm Tuesday (05.13) night.

Charles City held its Awards and Recognition Night for its seniors last week, the first for first-year High School Principal Levi Miller.

Miller encourages grads to find the “purpose” that makes them happy.

Charles City’s commencement ceremony begins at 1:30 pm Sunday, with doors open at 12:30 pm. Doors open at 1:30 pm Sunday for New Hampton, graduation ceremonies set for 2:30 pm.

Also holding graduation at 2:30 pm Sunday are Nashua-Plainfield, Osage, and Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock.

Area high schools with commencement set for 1 pm this Sunday include Riceville, Turkey Valley, North Butler and Sumner-Fredericksburg.

Graduation ceremonies set for 2 pm Sunday include Central Springs, Saint Ansgar, and Howard-Winneshiek. 

Graduation for Carrie Lane High School students in Charles City is Saturday (05.17) at 2 pm.
