UTVs are approved for travel on Iowa roadways.
Still, Chickasaw County Sheriff Ryan Shawver says that brings similarities and noticeable differences between road operation of a UTV and a motor vehicle.
Shawver says state code also outlines whether or not a UTV is required to display a “slow moving vehicle” sign.
Shawver adds that “slow moving vehicle” signs can be affixed to the back window, below the box or anyplace that allows it to be seen by fellow drivers.
