The Charles City Singers’ 50th Anniversary Spring Concert this weekend promises to be an afternoon of song and celebration.
Sue Davis has been a member since the group’s beginning.
While the Singers have been around a half-century, current Director Steve Heitbrink says there was a shaky period.
Now about three dozen members strong, Heitbrink says they’re ready to perform their Golden Anniversary concert this Sunday (04.27).
Heitbrink says past directors will also direct numbers during the concert, starting at 2 pm this Sunday (04.27) at Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City.
Tickets are $10 for adults (free for students) and are available at 1st Security Bank, First Citizens National Bank, C US B, along with the Charles City Arts Center and from any CC Singer.
