The 47th annual “Fireman’s Benefit Dance” this weekend is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the New Hampton Fire Department.
First Assistant Chief Nick Jurgensen says proceeds from Saturday (04.12) night’s festivities go towards equipment needs, including thermal imaging cameras.
Jurgensen says other “irons in the fire,” include the purchase of air packs, which can run about $7,500 to outfit a firefighter. They’re also eyeing new tanker, pumper, and brush fire trucks down the road.
If you didn’t receive tickets in the mail, tickets are available at the door starting at 6 pm Saturday at the New Hampton Golf and Country Club. The Fireman’s Dance is from 7 pm to midnight.
