A funeral service for 86-year old Sandra Kay (Schendel) Backer, of Charles City, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 10th, at First Congregational Church in Charles City. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City.

Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 9th, at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City and will continue one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home, Charles City, is in charge of local arrangements.

Sandy passed away Sunday, April 6th, at the Nora Springs Care Center.
