BREAKING: Suspicious Activity Reported on Nashua-Plainfield Booster Club Account

The Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is investigating suspicious activity involving the bank account of the Nashua-Plainfield Athletic Booster Club.
A Nashua-Plainfield Booster Club Facebook post on Thursday (03.27) says they were “alerted by Lincoln Savings Bank of suspicious activity on our account. The account was frozen and law enforcement was immediately contacted. A full investigation is underway. We are working with law enforcement to ensure the situation is resolved.”
The post adds, “Due to the ongoing nature of the situation, we are unable to comment. Any questions should be directed to the Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office.”
Sheriff Ryan Shawver says CCSO was initially contacted by the booster club on March 21st. Since then, “Bank records have been subpoenaed and we are waiting for those to be provided by Lincoln Savings Bank. Until we are able to review those records, we do not have a dollar amount that we are able to verify that was misappropriated.”
Shawver also notes that one suspect has been interviewed and they continue to follow up with other leads.
The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
