UPDATE: Water Boil Advisory Lifted in Nashua
A water boil advisory has been lifted for residents of Nashua.
On Saturday (02.01), the City issued a notice of a water main leak in the area of Sample and Chestnut streets, with plans to dig on Monday (02.03). However, Water/Waste Water Supervisor Nick Henningsen noted, “At the dig site, the water pressure never stopped shooting four feet out of the pipe. But because so many citizens reported from all over town that they lost water pressure, we are advising a water boil.”
Henningsen says the City was required to take two samples from five different locations 18 hours apart. Thus, the boil advisory, put in place Tuesday (02.04) morning, could last for up to 48 hours.
Henningsen says tests of those 10 samples have all come back negative and the boil order was lifted as of 8:40 am Thursday (02.06).
