Waukon High School Threat Investigated, Deemed Not Credible

A possible threat against a Northeast Iowa school was deemed as “not credible,” according to local law enforcement.

Waukon Police and Allamakee Community School District officials  were made aware of a potential threat to Waukon High School on Thursday (01.16). According to a Waukon Police Department (WPD) Facebook post, “Law enforcement conducted a thorough investigation and determined that the threat was not credible and there are no safety concerns for students or staff.”

WPD adds, “We want to assure our community that the safety and well-being of our students and school staff remain our top priority. We take all threats seriously and work closely with the Allamakee Community School District to ensure a safe learning environment.”
