New Hampton, Turkey Valley School Boards to Review Superintendent Applications

The New Hampton and Turkey Valley school boards will take the next step in finding the successor to shared Superintendent Jay Jurrens when they meet Monday (01.13.) night.

The two school districts are working with Grundmeyer Leader Services to assist them in the hiring process to replace Jurrens, who will retire at the end of the school year.

12 applications for Jurrens position were received by the January 5th The deadline.

The New Hampton and Turkey Valley school boards will meet jointly at  6 pm in Jackson Junction to review the applications. A Grundmeyer rep is also expected to attend the meeting.

Candidate screenings are slated to begin January 20th, with formal interviews the week of February 6th and a final decision anticipated shortly thereafter. 

Jurrens has been superintendent with New Hampton schools for 13 years, with the last eight a shared position with Turkey Valley.
