Dozen Applicants for New Hampton-Turkey Valley Shared Superintendent Post
A dozen candidates have tossed their hat in the ring to succeed New Hampton/Turkey Valley shared Superintendent Jay Jurrens, who will retire at the end of the 2024-25 school year.
The two school districts have contracted with Grundmeyer Leader Services to assist with recruiting applicants to replace him. Sunday (01.05) was the deadline to submit applications and New Hampton Schools’ business manager, Christy Roethler, said 12 applications have been received.
New Hampton School Board President Jay Matthews says candidate screenings will follow, starting January 20th. Formal interviews are then slated to begin the week of February 6th, with a final decision shortly thereafter.
Jurrens has been the shared superintendent with Turkey Valley the past eight years and the New Hampton Superintendent a total of 13 years.
