An adult construction course is coming to the NIACC Career Academy in Charles City.
Charles City Mayor Dean Andrews says “Fundamentals of Construction” looks to meet the need for construction workers while utilizing the center which already serves students from seven area school districts with similar instruction.
The Workforce Academy Training course will be highlighted with an Open House at the NIACC Center in Charles City Thursday (12.12) from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. There will be refreshments, an opportunity to meet instructor, Sawyer Smith, and tour the learning center.
Class times are slated for 12:30 to 4 pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from January 27th through March 12th. Tuition assistance is available.
The Career Academy opened with the start of the new school year for students in the Charles City, Clarksville, Nashua-Plainfield, North Butler, Osage, Riceville and Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock school districts.
