New Hampton Holiday Festivities Aplenty Thursday (12.05)

It’s a “sleigh full” of holiday cheer Thursday (12.05) night in and around downtown New Hampton.

Festivities from 5 to 7 pm include live window displays and strolling holiday characters along Main Street, plus horse drawn wagon rides around the Chickasaw County Courthouse square and Christmas Crafts at the Carnegie Cultural Center. The Light Parade starts at 5:30 pm, going down Main Street from Water Street to Walnut Street.

Voting for the Festival of Trees is also open from 5 to 7 pm Thursday at New Hampton Municipal Utilities at 112 East Main, with over 15 trees decorated by non-profit organizations on display. $1 equals one vote, with proceeds going to the group you vote for. Voting can also be done during regular NHMU business hours through December 25th.
