Milwaukee 18-Year-Old Arrested in Northeast Iowa for Murder in Wisconsin

A Wisconsin 18-year-old, wanted for intentional homicide, was arrested following a traffic stop in Northeast Iowa.
The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office says, just before midnight Friday (11.29), a deputy observed a car speeding near Main and Branard Streets in Brandon. After pulling the car over, and smelling a controlled substance, the deputy was prompted to run the information of everyone in the vehicle. That led to the discovery of an arrest warrant for Brandon Martin of Milwaukee.
Martin is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in connection to a shooting October 28th in Milwaukee, in which a 15-year-old male died from gunshot wounds. Intentional homicide is similar to a first-degree murder charge in Iowa.
Martin is being held in the Buchanan County Jail as he awaits extradition to Milwaukee. Other charges are pending for the drug violations from the Buchanan County traffic stop.
