Community Survey for New Hampton/Turkey Valley Superintendent Ends Saturday (11.30)

The search is on to find a successor to New Hampton/Turkey Valley shared Superintendent Jay Jurrens, who will retire at the end of the 2024-25 school year.
That’s New Hampton School President Jay Matthews, who says they’ve contracted with Grundmeyer Leader Services to assist with recruiting applicants to replace Jurrens.
Officials are also seeking input from community members through an online stakeholders survey on qualities of a Superintendent as well as their schools.
A link to the surveys, which close this Saturday (11.30) is available through each school district’s Facebook pages and websites. The survey also provides an opportunity for stakeholders to register their interest to be part of a community team to speak with superintendent candidates, though signing up does not guarantee you a spot.
Matthews says superintendent applications will be accepted through January 5th, with candidate screenings starting January 20th, formal interviews starting February 6th, and a final decision shortly thereafter.
Jurrens has been the shared superintendent with Turkey Valley the past eight years and New Hampton Superintendent a total of 13 years.
