CC Cares Community Thanksgiving Meal Thursday (11.28); Volunteers, Donations Welcome

CC Cares’ annual community Thanksgiving dinner will be served Thursday (11.28) from 11 am to 1 pm at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City.

Barb Jones, a CC Cares volunteer since 2019, says CC Cares looks to make a difference helping those less fortunate.

Jones says the meal is free, but free will donations are welcome.

Jones says no reservations are needed to eat at the church, but those who would like their food delivered, within City limits, must have their order in by noon Wednesday (11.27) by calling 641-220-6241, which you can also call if you’d like to volunteer Thursday and/or make a monetary donation.

Jones says they served Thanksgiving meals to some 500 people last year.
