Gates Installed at Lincoln Elementary Playground in Charles City to Cut Down on Unruly Behavior

The Charles City School District is limiting after school/after hours access to the playground at Lincoln Elementary School.

During Monday (11.11) night’s School Board meeting, board member Bruce Koebrick said gates have been installed at all entrances to the playground in an effort to crack down on unruly behaviors.

Koebrick said the issues don’t end there.

Koebrick, a member of the School Board’s facilities committee, said they will also be installing “No Trespassing” signs.

Koebrick says external cameras are also being considered to add another layer of security to the playground, students and the school.
