New Hampton Trapshooting “Shoot for a Cure” Saturday (10.05)

The New Hampton Trapshooting team will host its “Shoot for Cure” benefit shoot Saturday (10.05).

Mindy Casterton-Humpal says their goal is to raise money for October Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The shoot starts at 10 am Saturday at the Fredericksburg Sportsman’s Club on Boyd Avenue, about halfway between Fredericksburg and New Hampton. The event features raffle prizes, a bake sale and a free will donation lunch.

Proceeds benefit MercyOne Medical Center and the “Beyond P.I.N.K Team,” which Casterton-Humpal says can also be supported before and after the shoot.

Ribbons will also be for sale at select New Hampton athletic events, including the October 11th Chickasaws varsity football game against Crestwood as part of “Pink Out Night.” Humpal-Casterton says members of the football team, cheer squad and marching band will all be wearing pink ribbons for the game.
