The Mitchell County Fair continues through Sunday (08.04) in Osage.
Ashley Muhs is president of the Mitchell County FFA, one of the most active groups at the fair.
Muhs joined FFA despite not coming from an agriculture background.
Grandstand entertainment Friday (08.02) night is the Rice Rodeo Company “Bulls and Barrels” followed by the Masters of Disaster Demolition Derby Saturday (08.03) night. There’s also live music in the Beer Garden Friday and Saturday. Each of those entertainment options begin at 7 pm
The Fair has also been featuring free carnival rides Wednesday (07.31) through Saturday (08.03), while festivities continue into Sunday, which Fair Board Member Nolan Peters says will include a special live auction at 1 pm.
Peters adds that auction proceeds will go towards fairground improvements.
