FindJodi.com Hosts Memorial to Mark 29th Anniversary of TV Anchor’s Disappearance

Thursday (06.27) marked 29 years since Jodi Huisentruit was abducted on her way to anchor the morning news at KIMT-TV in Mason City.
There’s been no trace of the Long Prairie, Minnesota, native since that early morning on June 27, 1995. No one has ever been charged in connection with Iowa’s highest-profile unsolved case.
A group of investigators and journalists came together Thursday to commemorate Huisentruit’s disappearance. The purpose of the annual gathering with the community and law enforcement is to encourage anyone who may know something about her disappearance to come forward.
Thursday’s guest speaker was Patty Wetterling, who talked about her son Jacob’s own 27-year case, and how it was solved thanks to tips from the community. She said even the smallest clues can help law enforcement to break a case.
In May, private investigator Steve Ridge, hoping to generate leads to Huisentruit’s disappearance, doubled his reward from $50,000 to $100,000.
Anyone with information, can contact Ridge at 319-573-0657 or the Mason City Police Department.Â
www.FindJodi.com says a second FindJodi billboard was recently installed on Highway 122/US 18 by the Mason City Airport.
