Charles City Pizza Ranch Re-Opens Following Fire

Over six weeks after a fire shut it down, Pizza Ranch in Charles City is set to re-open on Saturday (06.22).
Firefighters from the Charles City, Floyd and Colwell fire departments were called to the store, just west of Hy-Vee, on Monday afternoon, May 6th. They were on the scene for less than two hours and most of the damage was to the exterior of the building.Â
Pizza Ranch co-owner Dustin Jentz says he was working on some landscaping when adjacent bushes caught on fire and spread to the northeast corner of the restaurant.Â
Damage to the interior of the structure appeared to be minimal, but the establishment has been shut down since.
A Facebook post late Friday (06.21)Â morning indicated the restaurant will re-open at 11 am on Saturday.
