Charles City High Graduates 122 Students, New Hampton HS 84 on Sunday

Some 120 Charles City High School, Carrie Lane and Flex students received their diplomas Sunday (05.19) during ceremonies in the Comet Gym.

Senior Jameson Mayhew addressed his fellow graduates with fond and not-so-fond memories of CCHS.

Mayhew finished his speech with a quote of famed American athlete, Jesse Owens.

Senior Taylor Quade encouraged her fellow grads to strive for high achievement in their post-high school lives.

84 students graduated from New Hampton High School on Sunday. In addition to their diplomas, each Chickasaw grad also got to take home their own personal banner, which New Horizons Chamber Director Liz Zweibohmer said were paid for through business and community sponsorships for the fourth year in a row.

Other school districts also conducting graduation ceremonies Sunday included Riceville, Turkey Valley, Central Springs, Cresco-Crestwood, Rudd-Rockford-Marble Rock, Nashua-Plainfield, and Osage.
