Work Continues to Repair Mississippi River Bridge at Lansing
The Iowa D-O-T says progress is being made on the repairs to the Mississippi River bridge at Lansing that was closed on February 25th.
That’s the D-O-T’s Clayton Burke, who says good weather has allowed them to move work steadily forward.
The final step is to have a structural engineer inspect the bridge.
Burke says they hope to have the bridge re-opened by the end of the month.
Meanwhile construction of the new Mississippi River bridge at Lansing continues, with completion not expected until 2026.
