A motorcyclist was seriously injured after his bike collided with an SUV in Charles City Tuesday.
Charles City Police and Charles City Fire Rescue responded to the crash about noon Tuesday (02.06) in the 300 block of South Iowa Street. A vehicle driven by 59-year-old Martha Ceja of Charles City was struck by a Harley-Davidson operated by 40-year-old John Williams of Ionia.
Williams suffered unspecified injuries and was initially transported by AMR Ambulance to Floyd County Medical Center before being airlifted by MercyOne AirMed helicopter to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City. Ceja was not injured.
Combined damages to the vehicles were estimated at about $4000. Charges are pending.Â
