Charles City Senior Becomes Charles City Community Center 

After months of planning, the Charles City Senior Center is now the Charles City Community Center.

While the name has changed, the Center’’s Judy Hauser says many things will remain constant.

Meals are available each weekday at noon with a $5 suggested donation  for seniors over 60 and a little more for those under 60.  

Hauser says Tuesday night Bingo will also continue as a staple of the Community Center. It’s also an example that the facility has always been open to non-seniors as well.

To celebrate the name change, a ribbon cutting is scheduled for 11:15 am on Wednesday (01.24). No reservations needed to attend the ceremony and you don’t have to be a member.
