School Board, Principals. Teachers, Students, Support Staff Recognized During American Education Week
It was American Education Week Nov. 13-17, recognizing the various people who play important roles throughout the school district.
Monday saluted school board members, Tuesday it was administrators including superintendents and principals, with support staff including bus drivers, janitors, food service workers and paraeducators honored Wednesday
Thursday saluted teachers like Jenny Adam, fifth through eighth grade band director the past 11 years at New Hampton Middle School. She loves working with the kids.
Substitute teachers were recognized on Friday, a valuable group when the regular teacher can’t be in the classroom like Adam’s band room.
Also saluted on Friday were students, like New Hampton seventh graders Amelia Einck and Reid Erlandson. Amelia and Reid boy enjoy learning math from teacher Shane Erlandson.
American Education Week, with a theme of “Together for Safe, Just, & Equitable Schools,†concluded Friday.
