New Hampton “Winter Meet the Team Night” Friday Also Kicks of Food Drive

New Hampton athletic fans are invited to the “Winter Meet the Team Night” Friday (11.17) night at the high school.

While it is a free event, Dennis Pagel with the New Hampton Lettermen’s Club hopes you’ll bring a donation for the Chickasaw County Food Pantry.

Pagel says Friday is the kickoff to the food drive, but officially runs from Monday, November 20, through Wednesday, December 6, when items can be dropped at the school offices.

“Winter Meet the Team Night” Friday starts with the Chickasaws wrestling team practicing from 4:15 to 5:45 pm with a wrestling parent meeting to follow at 6 pm.

Girls basketball will practice from 5 :30 to 6:45 pm, followed by 9th grade and JV boys basketball from 6:50 to 7:35 pm, and the varsity boys basketball team practice starts at 7:45 pm.

Doors will open at 4 and the booster club will be serving a soup meal from 4 to 7:30 pm in the cafeteria for a free will donation.
