Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) has named current Vice President for Finance and Administration, David Dahms, acting President.
 Dahms steps in after President Herbert Riedel was placed on administrative leave for unspecified reasons last week by the NICC Board of Trustees.
NICC Board of Trustees President Jim Anderson said, “We believe strongly in Dave’s leadership and integrity and know he will provide strong leadership to Northeast Iowa Community College during this time.â€
Dahms joined NICC as vice president in August 2015 and has led the College’s administration and financial operations.
Riedel, hired last year, told the Dubuque Telegraph Herald he did nothing unlawful, unethical or immoral and is willing to return to the job.
