Charles City Rotary Club Wants Your Scrap Metal

The Charles City Rotary Club’s annual Scrap Metal Fundraiser begins its eight-day run this Saturday (Sept. 30).

The Club’s Chris Garden says Charles City residents are welcome to donate items that contain metal.

Items can be dropped off at Tynan’s Recycling in Charles City through October 7th, although arrangements can be made to have your items picked up within City limits. 

Garden reminds donors that Rotary won’t take everything you may want to get rid of.

They will take televisions and computer monitors for a $15 fee, which covers the cost to take the TVs to the landfill.
