Much needed rainfall was widespread Friday (09.22) afternoon into the early Sunday (09.24) morning hours, but rainfall totals also varied widely across the region.
According to the National Weather Service, New Hampton received 4.1 inches of rain, with Decorah getting just over 3.5 inches. Meanwhile, Charles City and Osage got almost half as much with about 1.90 inches of rain.
Elsewhere over the weekend, almost three inches of rain fell in Nashua and just over 2.5 inches in Elgin, with Fayette, Waucoma, and Waukon all receiving just over two-inches.Â
Rainfall in St. Ansgar was measured at just over 1.5 inches, with Hampton and the Mason City Airport recording about 1.25 inches, while Oelwein and Elkader got under an inch of rain.Â
