Investigator Ups Reward for Info in Jodi Huisentruit Case

The reward to find a former north Iowa news anchor has been doubled in hopes it will spur new leads in the case.

Jodi Huisentruit was an anchor at KIMT News 3 in Mason City when she disappeared on her way to work on June 27, 1995. Now, 28 years later, private investigator Steve Ridge has announced he’s increasing the reward from $25,000 to $50,000.

In a press release, Ridge said he believes doubling the reward might encourage someone to come forward with tips about her disappearance.

Ridge added, “Time is not on our side, and we need to heat up this cold case.”

It was just this past February Ridge issued his original $25,000 reward for info leading to the discovery of what happened to Huisentruit.
