“Cruise for Carly” Friday Night in Charles City

It will be two years ago next month (July) that Charles City’s Carly Stevenson collapsed due to blood clots in her lungs.

It’s been a long recovery since, but her mom, Michelle Stevenson, says Carly continues to make strides to rebound, going through speech therapy at Floyd County Medical Center, and physical therapy at Synergy Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine.

In January 2022, a special caravan welcomed Carly back to Charles City after six months in the hospital. Friday night (06.09), Carly backers are asked to again “hit the streets” for Carly’s Cruise from 6 to 8 pm.

Stevenson says the event is not a fundraiser and there’s no formal start and end point for the cruise. Those participating can jump in or out when they want. Carly will be riding in a Sebring convertible to cruise Main Street.
