The new Police Chief for the City of New Hampton is entering his second full week on the job.
In April, the City hired Tim Pederson to succeed Zach Nosbisch, who left the NHPD in early March to become Chief Deputy with the Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office.
Mayor Bobby Schwickerath says the new chief has been making the rounds.
Pederson comes to the NHPD after almost two decades with the Harlan Police Department, including serving as interim chief for most of the past year.Â
Sergeant Paul Scally served as New Hampton’s interim police chief since the departure of Nosbisch until Pederson took over the reigns.
