Minnesota Man Arrested on Drug Charges in Northeast Iowa
A Minnesota man is facing drug charges in northeast Iowa.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says a traffic stop shortly after 10:30 pm Wednesday night led to the arrest of 48-year-old Jason Kristiansen of Little Falls, Minnesota.Â
According to court records, when his Ford Focus was pulled over for a traffic infraction, a deputy detected the aroma of marijuana coming from the vehicle and Kristiansen had bloodshot eyes and he was fidgeting and stuttering. Authorities say he also admitted to using marijuana the day before.
A probable-cause search of the vehicle found over 15 grams of marijuana and a white crystalline substance residue that tested positive for meth, plus multiple THC vape cartridges and gummies and a drug pipe and grinder.
Kristiansen was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.Â
